To mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Nepal, the Korean Embassy in Kathmandu on Oct. 2 hosted the 2024 K-Culture Performance at the Nepal Army Club. 


This event featured traditional Korean dance and drum music combined with cutting-edge media technology.

Government officials from Korea and Nepal join the performers on stage to mark the 50th year of bilateral relations.


SDG Dance Crew showcased the vibrant energy of Korea's traditional dance to the powerful beats of traditional drums and beat boxes. What made this performance memorable was the use of high-tech media to create an immersive experience featuring state-of-the-art projection, lighting and sound design.

Attending the event was Nepalese parliamentary speaker Dev Raj Ghimire, whose welcoming speech emphasized the broad scope of bilateral relations covering a range of fields including human exchange, tourism, trade and investment, energy, agriculture, health, climate issues, culture and sustainability. He also congratulated the people of both countries for five decades of friendship and cooperation.

Ambassador to Nepal Park Tae-young said this performance not only showed Korea's rich cultural heritage but also the dynamic and evolving nature of the bilateral relationship.
